The coldest part of our Switzerland tour

When we reached Lucern (from Lausanne), it was still raining. So instead of sightseeing in Lucern, we decided to take the train to Engelberg (Angel Mountain). It is from Engelberg that people take the cable car (a revolving cable car called ROTAIR) up to Mount Titlis (the highest vantage point in Central Switzerland) to see glaciers.

We didn't plan to go up anyway...it was already rather late. And as you can see from our umbrellas, it was raining. I don't even know whether the place was open in that weather...

Trains to Engelberg aren't frequent, so we had to be back at the train station early enough not to miss the one we planned to take.

Not surprisingly, this was the coldest place we visited in Switzerland (since it was at a higher altitude). You can see from the earlier photo that we were cold! :P

It was evening when we returned to Lucern. (as a recap, we had visited Lausanne, then checked into our hotel in Lucern, then gone to Engelberg) We decided to leave the sightseeing for when the weather was better (being optimistic here :P )

The next morning the sky would again be grey in Lucern, so we would leave for Zurich, again hoping that the weather would get better in Lucern... (Will it? Stay tuned to find out! lol)
